Project 1- Form and Function
The objective of this project was to design and develop a bridge with an adjustable opening from the designs of a pre-existing bridge style. The functional ideas came from concepts from household items.
Criteria:

Must clear a 30' x 40' block

No structural member greater than 20'

No structural members in the water

The 3 x 3 table shows the combination of each form (arch, cable-stay, and cantilever) with the functions of three household items: an adjustable wrench, ice cream scooper and garden shears
